low mileage Buick has lifter tick. What to do?

My 2003 Buick Century has only 113,000 kms (70k miles) on the original 3.1 V6 engine. It is serviced regularly (new 5w-30 oil and filter every 3,000 miles), but about 3 months ago the engine developed a fairly noticeable lifter tick on start-up …it goes away in a minute or two, but is quite concerning for such a low mileage vehicle. Is there something I can do to resolve this without tearing into the engine? I’ve searched this forum for info, but ‘lifter tick’ brings up zero for posts …I can’t be the only one to be having a lifter tick issue ……???

You’ll need to decide what is required after viewing for your specific needs.
You may need to remove specific assembles to get enough clearance to remove the valve covers.

Try to locate a Haynes or Chilton book on your car .

Here is another video to try. This is complete intake gasket change but again the valve cover gaskets are included. My front valve cover was able to come off without taking off the front mounts but required some maneuvering. I do think I had to pull heater core bypass line but may not be issue on yours. The rear valve cover will require engine coils to be removed if still in same place. I just pulled the bracket 4 fasteners and took out as complete assembly.
