my lights on the dashboard do not come on. and the floor shifter light is off also. the dimmer control is were it support to be. I have check fuses. they are find.it is a 1999 jeep Cherokee.

If all the lights in the dashboard, including lighting on buttons are out, and your fuses are good like you say, then your likely problem is the dimmer switch itself. If it’s the type of headlight switch I think it is, it would pretty much be a given that the dimmer has gone bad in it. It should be a rheostat type dimmer switch, IIRC.
