Left Vs Right orientation

When a suspension part is listed as “Left” or “Right” how does that translate into “Driver” and “Passenger”? Is the vantage point from standing at the hood, or sitting inside?

See it as a light bulb… if you left turn light is burnt…. either front or back… it still the left side. 😉

For your information for an engine on rwd when the engine is front to back.The front is where the pulley are driven and opposite has to be the output … let say the transmission for an automobile.. then looking rear to front… you have your left on the left side and so on for the right side..

On a front wheel drive . The same law apply (most vehicle has the engine on the right side except for honda) so for those model the left side of the engine would be by the radiator and right toward the firewall.

When it come to motor mount and transmission mount. I always have a fight with part guys as they should know about it.
