knocking noise coming from fuel rail

I have a 1995 cavalier I hear a knocking noise coming from the fuel rail or fuel injectors could this be bad injectors the car starts alright mpg is not that good I had a new timing belt replaced last year I don’t know what else it could be

It`s probably just the fuel injectors. The noise can be very loud sometimes.

Fuel injectors..especially direct injection, make a ticking sound. It is the injectors clicking on and off.
