I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd. V8 4X4. It has the keyless entry system with a key fob that you press open once to open only the driver’s door, and twice to open all doors. The driver’s door will no longer open with any number of presses on the fob. The other three doors and rear hatch still open and lock normally with the fob. It should also be possible to manually open or lock all doors by pushing a lock / unlock switch inside the driver’s side door, but that doesn’t work for the driver’s door either. The vehicle also has a feature which, if one starts driving with any or all doors unlocked, once the vehicle reaches 15 mph all doors should automatically lock. All do except the driver’s door. The only way to lock the driver’s door from the inside is to take one’s finger and manually push the lever back. To enter the driver’s door of the locked vehicle, it has to be done with the key. I have tried putting fresh batteries in the key fob. Anyone know of a possible solution ??
