Key fob remote – 2006 Buick Lacrosse CX 3.8l

Do not know if this is the correct sub-forum ? If not , would a moderator please help me out and move it to the correct place .

We recently bought this car , with 2 key fob remotes . One works one is broken . I ordered a new one . Found the following instructions on programing the new remote ;

But I can not get it to go into the menu for the remote programing . Am I doing something wrong , or will I have to take it to the local lock smith ?

Unfortunately, the Lucerne is different and uses different fobs, so those procedures don’t apply to your Lacrosse.
You can buy a Dorman brand key fob, which comes with a programmer.
Otherwise, you will have to go to the dealer or a locksmith and have your fob programmed.
