i love that movie so funny, ive never had to do anything with snap rings before the wheel bearing i just did i honestly want to bring the pliers back to pepboys annd tell them theyre defective not worth the money i spent on them at all
Knipex is not cheap and makes great snap ring pliers,Knipex calls them circlip pliers.Craftsman,Snap On and Mac including Matco make very good snap ring pliers with a lifetime warranty. You will pay tooltruck prices with Mac,Matco and Snap On.
I bought Knipix off the Matco truck because I was tired of having JUNK snap ring pliers, just like your experience which is very frustrating. The pliers with replaceable tips are pure friggin garbage if you ask me. I learned a long time ago that with some items it don’t pay to be cheap. Some snap rings can be a royal pain in the neck anyway (makes you feel like the movie Anger Management).

If you’ve got the receipt I’d do it and ask for a refund. If you don’t have the receipt take ’em back and see if they’ll give you a store credit to use for some other purchase. Worth a try?
