TG is, or was, my favorite TV show. I can’t see a new version being anywhere near what the old one was as Clarkson, May, and Hammond are what made the show.

I expect the new one will be more like the U.S. version; bland, boring, and politically correct while offending no one or anything.

What will be interesting is to see what happens with the new one as to viewers, ratings, and the driving force; how much money it brings in. Things start looking too bad and it could be that some BBC execs will also get sacked as Clarkson called it.

Think you miss understood my post or more probably I did not get the point across to well, this is not the BBC’s version this is obviously a brand new show that the 3 of them have started to record for another station or provider, it was Clarkson who shared the above photo yesterday hinting that filming for the new show has commenced.

BBC as usual more interested in extorting money out of people have made no comment or announcement of any plans for new presenters on Top Gear, although I still have my money on Chris Evans.

I have changed the thread title to more accurately convey what I meant 😉

I apologize for my misunderstanding. Offhand, it sounds like a new show is in the works and I for one will be tuning in if it’s carried here.

If this is the beginning of a new show and series it kind of boggles my mind that a format could be thought up and put into action so fast; although granted, Clarkson and crews are pretty ingenious.

Clarkson made a comment several years ago about the time arriving when TG has run its course and that he didn’t want to be part of something as it became stale and fizzled out. Maybe Clarkson and crew have had a new idea placed on hold for several years as Plan B and waiting for that moment in time to arrive. ????

I do like Chris Evans. He’s a real car guy; and a pretty well off one too with that fleet of Ferraris.

Looks like it’s going to be on Amazon Prime…
