      Hey all,
Over the summer my Grams 2003 Liberty Sport’s radiator cracked. I replaced her radiator, upper and lower hoses, water pump, and thermostat and used Zerex G-05 HOAT coolant. Prior to this she was experiencing heat and AC issues. Her AC was intermittent, and now completely dead (already determined to be a bad ac clutch) , and her heat was only warm on acceleration. I have already checked blend doors and blower resistor and both are fine. I know that the heat issue is a result of air and or clogged core.

While I had everything apart doing the radiator I added a 50/50 CLR and water mix into both sides of the heater core and let it sit for an hour. When i had finished the radiator and water pump and was ready to fill and burp the system i ran cool water back wards through the core for about 5 minutes. I saw, old coolant come out and some gross brown goo. After that water seemed to flow nicely and uninhibited through the core both ways.

Reassembled everything, filled system, and ran it with the expansion tank cap off at ~2500 rpm till it was at operating temperature then let it idle like that for 10 minutes. To my dismay the heat issue was still present. I tried burping the system many times after that with the car level, front elevated, rear elevated, even just speeding round neighborhood without a radiator cap.

Only things left that need repair is a new AC clutch and the radiator caps rubber seal was beat up bad. Would either of these things affect heating ability? Any help would be much appreciated
