Jeep grand Cherokee a/c problems

hey while on the grand Cherokee a/c topic, I have a question on my 1999.
I hear a slight sqweeling type noise under the glove box after I turn the engine off.
it sounds to me like the a/c actuator,which I have never replaced,and once in a while my a/c stops blowing out of the ducts,but switches by itself to the defroster/and floor only.
is this a big job to replace?
