I saw this video and I’m curious if this method would work on bleeding the cooling system. I don’t want to invest in getting a spill free funnel and have an extra rad. cap around because I only bleeding my cooling system every once and a while and hate doing it because the level of the antifreeze is always up and down, spilling out making a mess, having to add more or dropping low and always having to stand next to it because of it. Will this method work if I gut out the rad. cap, will the coolant flow back and forth from the reservoir tank with the air bubbles and be bleed this way?

Personally, I just use a pop bottle cut in half. Fits right in the radiator, and works just like the spill free funnel, and it only costs 5 cents!

What’s a pop bottle? or do you mean a soda bottle, if it is a soda bottle your talking about you get no mess from it?

That sounds like a good idea. BTW you don’t need the funnel it just makes things easier. You can also not fill the radiator all the way and place a catch pan under the vehicle to catch any overflow.
