I just bought mine from amazon, and ho-lee-crap is it strong. I’ve been in the pinch of not being able to do a lot of repair work (thus limiting my experience) because I just can’t spring for an air compressor AND a solid, quality impact gun. So I went on the hunt for what products were raising the most stink, and it boiled down to the Milwaukee M18 fuel impact, and the IR W7150. I went with the IR because it was less costly, and the same amount of bolt wrecking power. Plus, IR is the good stuff, and I’ve never had nice tools to work with until this. First thing I did was dominate this old (but still used) Toro Wheel Horse garden tractor mower deck, that hadn’t been stripped down or greased in about 15 years. The spindle nuts for the blades were hopelessly seized with rust and corrosion. So I went to work, and I had the spindle nuts off in about 5 hits from the gun. I tried for a long time to break these loose by JUMPING on the handle of a breaker bar to try and fix this piece of crap (mind you, I weight 260lbs) to no avail. 3 minutes with this gun and I’m down to a bare shell about to replace the blade shafts and spindle bearings. Then just today after work, a co-worker asked me if I could remove the ball of this super old, trashed trailer hitch he had and flip the tongue over. That one took more effort, about 5 seconds of straight hammering on that 1 1/2 inch nut, and the gun didn’t even break a sweat.

SOOO many benefits to not requiring a compressor, mainly portablilty. You can take this to a junkyard, and with a spare battery, probably strip a whole car down to nothing if you had enough sockets and jackstands. There’s a fella on youtube that does some impressive demo footage of both guns. I HIGHLY recommend this. Be free from hoses and 500lb compressors, gentlemen! lol

I apologize if this sounds like I’m an IR product rep, but man, I already adore this thing. I’m just looking for excuses to haul it out and make bolts my b%&ch lol.

Ahh yes, my Mac guy was pitching this to me awhile back. I didn’t bite because air isn’t a problem for me, but remember wishing I had a reason because it looked so good. It’s torque rating at 780 is the same as the comparable 1/2″ IR air gun I use (Mac branded 2135qtimax), which is a beast. The performance you’re describing is like talking about my air gun, and I’m glad to hear from you that it’s a master. IR is a exceptional tool brand. The performance and feel of their power tools is exceptional.

Man, you’re really making me wish I had a good reason to get it.

I’ve had the thing two days and it’s already been so worth it. Been really sick of trying to use a breaker bar for everything. My only “gripe” if there can be one is how loud the hammers are. I’m planning on expanding my Li battery powered tool range into their ratchet and 3/8 gun too.
