Greetings!
I’m Rob, and I’ve been following this site since last fall, so I figured it’s about time I introduce myself! I currently work as an avionics and electrical engineer (the latter is what my bachelors degree is in.) Although I haven’t worked as an automotive technician, I’ve been raised in a self-reliant DIY environment, learning basic auto repair and maintenance throughout my life. Last fall when my 2001 Honda Accord 4cyl started exhibiting symptoms of a bad wheel bearing and/or front axles; and I was looking for online help on how to deal with this issue – I stumbled upon EricTheCarGuy and one of his videos dealing with removal and replacement of front wheel drive axles. This video showed me what I needed and boosted my confidence to tackle the job myself. Thus, I’d like to thank you, EricTheCarGuy, for your video; and for all your amazing work on this site and with all your other videos. You’ve got some really good stuff!
I would also like to extend a special thanks to EricTheCarGuy for his timing belt video manual on the 1990-2002 Honda F series engines. This was a very well done video that gave me quite the confidence boost to tackle this job that had previously intimidated me. Although it’s been about 3 weeks since I’ve completed the job on my Honda, I must admit I find myself itching for my next – it felt, and still feels, so good to be able to tackle that job successfully! Very well done indeed, EricTheCarGuy, thanks again – the $16 for the video download was money very well spent. Not only did I get confidence, I saved quite some money from the almost $900 my local dealer would have probably charged me! Thanks again, I hope all is well with you, as well as anyone else reading this!
