I’ve got a 2006 Mazda 2 with about 180000km on it. Having intermittent starter issue. Car won’t start. Just a click. After a few clicks it starts. Sometimes the issue doesn’t appear, starts right up on first crank. I have a new battery test fine. Wondering if its the starter?

Likely loose connection.
Negative corroded on starter.
Corroded battery terminals and cables will do that too. Start with cleaning and lubricating/sealing everything.
