Have a 2000/01 Chevy blazer. Had new wheel bearings brakes, rotors all replaced. Engine and transmission working fine. Noise is coming from the front. Does not happen when going reverse. Kinda sounds like the splines are not lining up and the 4wd is trying to kick in when going straight. I don’t have the blazer here it is with my family 3 hours away. But I was up a few weeks ago my uncle took it for a test ride, I had a early 90s Ford Explorer that did a similar thing. Transmission went out soon after so just got rid of the explorer. Any suggestions on what to look for. Ty. Need any more info I can get it.

check front cv’s over well. truck is in 2wd when noise happens? do a fluid change on the t case and see if there are any significant metal shavings. possibly 4wd actuator on front diff acting up. video of noise might be a benefit.

Did some more asking about it, remember I don’t have immediate access to the blazer. They took it to a mechanic and he disabled the 4wd, and as far as I know it’s no longer making the noise. I’ll update this forum when I know more info. This could be helpful to other folks who may have the same issue.
