      Eric,
Here is a topic that you may or may not have run across, a device that is used for people who get DUI’s and need to drive their car to work, store ect and have a device they have to blow in to start the car, if they are sober it will start if not it will not start the car. So how do get around this device when it come into your shop and the person is not around to blow in the device for you to work on, or do you have them sit in the car all day as you work on it and need it started from time to time ???? maybe a good topic to put out there and see how other mechanics handle it … Todd

I’ve run into this and we’ve usually had the customer operate the device to get it in the shop. It’s an interesting topic for sure but to cover it I would think I would need to have a vehicle equipped with the device to talk about it intelligently. Also, I’m not sure I want to put information out there on how to disable one of these devices as I don’t think that would be very responsible on my part. HID’s are one thing, this would be quite another.

        Thanks for the suggestion.
