Great posts. check your coolant level. if full and no air found. then it sounds like the thermostat is staying open and would need replacement. good luck
        and keep us posted. C8-)

If the vehicle is OBD 2, you can use a scan tool and look at live data for the coolant temperature. That would be your next step.

You could also ohm out the ECT. The resistance should increase or decrease (dependent on the ECT design) as the coolant warms up. Then cross reference your readings with a specification chart.

            +1 on the thermostat.

              Quoted From Trcustoms719:

              +1 on the thermostat.

What makes you believe that its the thermostat and not the coolant temp sensor. And the engine is obd2.

Because of the classic symptoms. Again, i would use a scan tool and look at PID data.

+1 on being able to monitor the ECT through a scantool.

But if that’s not a possibility, it’s been my experience that, as the car warms up, if the thermostat is working correctly you will have one radiator hose get really hot, the other will be cold/bare

It sounds like you have a stuck open thermostat or air in the cooling system. Is the CEL on?

I would watch these video’s from Eric first.

                    Bleeding a cooling system –

Diagnosing a overheat (yes you are not experiencing this issue but will give you a better understanding of the cooling system) –

Good luck and keep us posted.

Check for air in you cooling system first.

Then get back to us! Good luck.

It’s super common for the thermostats to stick open on those engines, I’d recommend an OE replacement however as the aftermarket ones just aren’t the same. TW sensors hardly ever go bad on Honda’s and it’s always good to start with the simple stuff first so replace the t-stat with an OE unit and recheck for the symptom.
