I’m very excited to have started work on the Fairmont project. I know this video wasn’t ‘complete’, but I’ve reached out to some experts in the field, Stacey David, and gotten some advice on how to move forward. He also told me it’s common for fox bodies to have that amount of flex and if I want to eliminate it completely, I’d need to install a 6 point cage. That may happen at some point.

Great vid Eric but I would have thought the frame connectors would had have some sort of middle brace/cross member to add abit more stability between the two frame connectors.
I have seen them on the mazda mx5 which are like a rectangle shape under the car to stiffen the chassis.

mighty car mod link but the same idea.

The frame connectors are only the beginning. I do plan to run a cross brace between them under the vehicle with a driveshaft loop at some point. I think it would be easier to do that after the new engine and transmission are installed. I also plan to put a brace under the hood, but once again, I want to wait till after the new engine is installed.

          Thanks for your input.

Ha ok, I jump the gun.
Looking forward to see what you do to the ford, its great to see someone work on the older style cars where it it is more hands on than just plugging a scan tool in and reading codes.
            Keep up the great work.

Yes, working on machinery is much interesting and a bunch of code.
