Installing camber bolts on 3rd Gen W-Body

Hey all, I have a 2009 Buick Lacrosse CX which I am going to install camber bolts in. I got a lifetime alignment via price match and the shop now wants 80 dollars for camber bolts, plus another 20 per bolt to install them. I’ve decided to put them in myself but I have a few questions first.

1) The struts in the front and rear of my vehicle had 2 bolts each, which bolt do I replace to be able to add or subtract camber. I took my alignment class last year but sadly the teacher opted to teach us how to slot struts for alignment instead of installing camber bolts. I’ve heard some people say to replace the upper bolt in the front and lower in the rear, or vice versa.

2) If I remember correctly the strut bolts on GM vehicles are splined and a pain the @$$ to remove, anyone got any tips on removing these suckers without damaging anything?

Now if I eyed up the front struts/steering knuckles correctly the camber bolt should replace the upper strut mounting bolt, otherwise it won’t adjust a thing. Just looking for someone who knows they have the right answer, I was told improperly installing aftermarket camber bolts could cause them to sheer or snap at a later date.

Other info: The camber bolt kit was purchased off of E-Bay, they are Eibach Pro camber kits.

It would be greatly appreciated if someone could give me the information I’m seeking.
