I have a 1993 Nissan 240sx,my issue started two months ago when one of my injectors stopped working,a months later I replace it an now, only injectors 1 an 2 are firing..3 an 4 nothing car turns on but it just running on two cylinders don’t have a multimeter to test for ohm on the injector plugs..but if I rotate injector wire connectors from 1 or 2 to injectors 3 an 4 my injectors work..so now I know that the plugs on 3,4 ate not working..So my question is what could be wrong,

Unplug the injectors with it running, check for power on one of the wires and ground/pulse with a test light hooked to battery positive on the other wire. I’m not familiar with that car, but I assume the injector is signaled by the PCM through the ground wire. You may have a bad PCM.

You think my ecu is bad, wouldn’t that make all of them stop working not just two..I get no error codes, only 55 witch in my FSM is good..

The ecm controls injector pulse. Here is the FSM for some trouble shooting.

take the distributor cap off, then the rotor, and then the black plastic piece underneath the rotor and see if there is oil in the optical distributor. this is a very common problem and can cause what you are describing. oil will block the slots in the drive plate and prevent the optical distributor from creating the correct signals. this will cause the computer to not fire the coil at the proper time for particular cylinders and also the injectors

Will try that tomorrow,an ill see if that’s causing the problem of not firing the other two injectors..

No luck, didn’t see no oil on the distributor, didn’t have much time to work on it,but tomorrow pulling out the fuel rail an turn the dizzy by hand an see if gas quirts out of the injectors..

The best way to see if the injectors are being told to fire is with a noid light. You might see if you can borrow some from your local auto parts store. You plug them in in place of the injector and look for the light to flash. If it does then you know that injector is getting a signal to fire. If it’s not then look to the wiring or computer. If it is then it’s likely the injector itself is the problem.

Did that an ur where right injectors where not firing, replace the ecu an ran like new,6 months later after I got of work an started funny,an after awhile I started to see white smoke coming out of my tailpip,it don’t smell sweet it smell like gas a lot I open the hood an smell gas there too, seen no leaks I could just smell it mix with exhaust, think it could be an o-ring or my ecu again?

If you smell fuel under the hood. Inspect all the fuel lines. Also inspect fuel filter, fuel rails and fuel pressure regulator. Also, Injectors can crack… Additionally if you pulled the fuel injectors, they can leak if you do not replace the O rings and the seats… look for leaks there… If the O rings/seats are bad, get new ones and ensure you lube them with fresh clean oil…

Update: I removed the main fuel line an put in water bottler at the end, turned the key in an fuel came out as expected, replace the line removed the fuel pump fuse, started the car,an in stared right up then it died, put the fuse back an prime it then started it again an turned on,on the first try,as soon as it started smoke started to come an it got warm it was steady,no oil in the radiator was is clean, smoke don’t smell sweet,I put my hand up to the exhaust, all I smell was gas an exhaust fumes..idle was good, then it flushuates up an down 1000,1100,no engine shake or violently..that’s where I’m now?

Do a power balance test… Then check out your fuel injectors as well..

To do the first.. Unplug each spark plug one at a time while running and check to see if engine runs any different. If you pull one and nothing happens you have an issue with the firing in the cylinder.

If this has no issues then inspect your fuel injectors for any leaks and check with noid light.

I suspect that you have a cylinder that may be having an issue. Either it is not getting spark and your fuel injector is pumping fuel into a dead cylinder or you have a leaking or bad fuel injector… There also could be a mechanical problem with a cylinder.

Been searching, some say valve seals, some say head gasket,so maybe some have another opinion before I take it to a mechanic.
Blue smoke after a mile drive, no smoke on startup. No overheating, still smell gas but no leaks..
