inaccurate speed

hello fellas, i have a 1993 toyota MR2 automatic. My speedometer is off by about 6 miles when i am on the highway. But when I start driving in the morning, it is off by 15 to 20 miles. any ideas what could be causing this problem. your help will be greatly appreciated. thx
