      does any body tries to test a ignition coil using voltage detector??

          If you post this under “service and repair questions” you will get some answers quickly. Provide the info about the vehicle because coil testing varies. Also tell us about your symptoms and what led up to the problem if you know.

            because there’s a tool that can test a ignition coil by just putting the probe to coil and the light will blinks which means the coil is firing!
            the tool is waekon ignition tester.

            That tool will let you know if the primary circuit is working but will not indicate how good the actual spark is.

            The best way to test an ignition coil is to stress test it. Its also a waste of time to using a ohm meter to check for resistances.

              I agree about the stress testing. I have heard that a great test for an ignition system is to use a test sparkplug designed for testing HEI ignitions
