Idle re-learn?

[guess it begins with R and ends with n]

Do these 2006 Corollas need an idle re-learn after re-connecting the battery? Every time I disconnect the battery then start it back up it idles really low to almost stalling.
Only after taking it for a spin around town does the engine begin idling ok again when at a complete stop. Says nothing about it from what I’m seeing in the precautions.

I would say that it is indeed going through a relearn and iv had three cars that did the same thing including the one i drive now lol.

The millage it takes to complete differs from car to car mine takes about 25 miles to get right.

They don’t do an idle relearn, they are adjusting the fuel trims. It is normal, but I would check the LTFT for greater than 10% or less than -10%. Past those tolerances are indicators of other issues.
