I have a 1988 Honda Prelude Si 4WS with a 5 speed manual trans. When I accelerate the car jerks rapidly and the rpm needle bounces erratically between 0 and almost 3000 rpm. It will smooth out for a short time and repeat. I have all new parts on the ignition side so I am at a point of severe frustration. It jerked so hard 1 time it popped out of 2nd gear even though the syncronizers are in need of replacement. At first when the jerking started I thought it might be on the emission side so I replaced both O2 sensors in the exhaust manifold with OEM sensors. So if ANYONE has ANY idea of what it could be please let me know. If you want to contact me by phone please ask and I will provide my number. Thanks again eric.
