Ok so I have a 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.4L 4 cylinder DOHC that is crank no starting. I began by doing basic diagnostics. This is what I have done.
*checked fuel pump is priming after turning key by removing gas cap and having friend turn key. I heard the buzzing so I know its good.
*checked pressure, disconnected fuel rail and gas squirted after turning key (I be poor)
*checked for spark, hooked tester to wire and did not get spark, replaced coil pack now have spark but still no start.

after this I received a check engine light. I checked code p0508-iac valve sensor circuit low. Checked connection and its clean.

The thing I am wondering is I know IAC error can cause Rough idle and hard starts but can it cause crank no start? is this what I should replace. I got enough money for this to be a one shot deal so any help would be appreciated. Than you.

PS this is what happened that caused the car to stall. I turned on my car and it was running fine, drove about 2 mile hit 3 lights still no issues, when to accelerate to get on the free way and before I could get to the ramp car stalls. No warning or roughness at all during the stall. also I know I have been having rough idle in drive while at lights. thought maybe the mounts where going.

Try and crack the throttle plate to see if it starts.
If the IAC is not responding it will choke the air at
        start up.

Now I tried that and nothing. I did some more test and I started getting engine codes for the cam position sensor p0348 and p0522 so Im starting to thing wiring Harness.

You’re actually making a lot of assumptions. You want to try and avoid that when diagnosing a vehicle. It’s a systematic, logical approach is what’s going to allow you to draw accurate conclusions. The first assumption was that the fuel psi was OK. I know you don’t have a gauge and you say you can afford one, I get it, but all you proved was that you had SOME fuel pressure, not that you had the correct fuel pressure. Second, you can’t assume you have a bad wiring harness just because you have some check engine lights.

As to your problem, a cam sensor can cause a crank no start. A faulty IAC can also cause a crank no start. You also have a code for the oil psi sensor which can also cause a no start on some vehicles. I would suggest you start by tracking down the diagnostics for the codes you have and checking those first. I’m sure by the time you’re done, you’ll have found the problem, or at least have a better idea of what you’re dealing with. This may require that you track down a service manual for the vehicle you’re working on. It may also require that you track down some basic testing equipment. Before you say you don’t have the cash for those, consider this. If you just start replacing sensors, you’re just spending money anyway. I think it would be better to borrow or invest in the proper testing equipment that can actually help you diagnose the problem before you start replacing parts. We can’t give you all the answers.
