Ok so I have a 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.4L 4 cylinder DOHC that is crank no starting. I began by doing basic diagnostics. This is what I have done.
*checked fuel pump is priming after turning key by removing gas cap and having friend turn key. I heard the buzzing so I know its good.
*checked pressure, disconnected fuel rail and gas squirted after turning key (I be poor)
*checked for spark, hooked tester to wire and did not get spark, replaced coil pack now have spark but still no start.after this I received a check engine light. I checked code p0508-iac valve sensor circuit low. Checked connection and its clean.
The thing I am wondering is I know IAC error can cause Rough idle and hard starts but can it cause crank no start? is this what I should replace. I got enough money for this to be a one shot deal so any help would be appreciated. Than you.
PS this is what happened that caused the car to stall. I turned on my car and it was running fine, drove about 2 mile hit 3 lights still no issues, when to accelerate to get on the free way and before I could get to the ramp car stalls. No warning or roughness at all during the stall. also I know I have been having rough idle in drive while at lights. thought maybe the mounts where going.
