I broke a 5mm allen/hex on it, what I did wrong or how it went is shown here.
What is the RIGHT way to drive in an ARP head stud?

You would have better luck with an allen wrench that is made to be driven by a 3/8″ rachett. That being said the allen wrenches on the ring you were using are removable from the spring holders by twisting against the direction the spring is wound. Would make it much easier to handle one wrench.
Did you have the head off? Is the head gasket aligned correctly?
The answer to both of these questions is now yes.
