I have a 1991 ford tempo gl 2.3 efi with the three speed automatic 81k on the clock
since purchaced and tuned up, car has run excellent! maybe five months or so…
The other day with no warning an engine light came on and the engine killed and would not refire.
so on the side of the road, I checked the following….
fuel flow, 10 ft spray … after the filter so not a problem.
ignition screwdriver in the spark plug, got spark sometimes…?
I ran the self test obd1 and got two codes 32, and 52
32 egr out of range
52 power steering circuit openI dont know where to start.
the car runs fine now but I cant trust it… you know?
Heres what I have done before hand to rule out bad parts…
New cap , rotor, wires, ngk plugs,
fuel filter, cold air intake
did change most of the vac lines that I could reach, at least the ones that leaked during a smoke test.
removed oil and exhaust re breathers replaced with small air filters.
I also change the oil and filter every three thousand.
car leaks nothing but power steering from rack at the boot dr side.
And if your wondering how I got it running again… after a very expensive tow home , i reset the
pcm and all is well I just dont want it to happen again!!
