I hate Fel Pro valve cover gaskets for Honda’s, I haven’t had problems with the head gaskets though, I’ve had good results with Beck Arnley stuff, I don’t have experience with the other stuff you mentioned.

The mechanic working on the Civic did preliminary testing and couldn’t condemn the head gasket based on compression testing dry/wet, and since the cooling system was holding around 17 psi._x000D_

That is always a possibility of sample issues. I’ll see what the lab says when I call them. Honestly, from following this stuff for a while I doubt the sample was processed wrong, but then again it’s sorta up in the air right now.
