Hey so recently posted about my 97 honda civic dx hatchback, the poor thing has a crank and no start. I got good suggestions regarding distributors mostly. I took all of this into consideration, but nobody can find anything wrong. Fuel travels well up until the injector region. It cant seem to make it across into where it needs to go but the injectors have been checked and they work fine. 🙁 My mechanic and others who have looked at it say literally everything under the hood functions properly but fuel cant get across. Then i saw the video by ETCG about the main relay, but thats only if it doesnt have fuel compression, and my car does. 🙁 Ill look at it tomorrow in the daylight anyways, but if anybody has any suggestions at all please help…. or maybe i need a new mechanic… Oh and the mechanic replaced a lot of fuses as he was almost positive that would be the solution but no. I think this is more of a rant than a question. If i ever figure out whats wrong with my honda ill write a detective fiction novel and call it the case of the honda that just wouldnt start.

Well, if you have fuel injectors, then you have common fuel rail. If you have common fuel rail and fuel to it, but none coming to injectors, look at the fuel rail end. See that saucer shaped thing sitting there, sometimes with vacuum hose, or electric plug to it? It’s fuel pressure regulator. If it’s kaput, then injectors will not receive petrol. But of course, your mech checked on that.

It could be a crank sensor. After two seconds of cranking, if the ECU doesn’t see a crank signal it shuts down the fuel pump. This is a safety precaution. You don’t want fuel being pumped out of severed lines in case of a wreck.
