      Hey guys,

I have a 2002 hyundai sonata and have a suspension problem(at least I think it is). I changed all four struts this past summer(2012) and had hoped that this would stop my car from bouncing excessively when traveling on the highway. The new struts did help but my car still has a bounce, its almost a “wavy” type of bounce. The struts that I used were Monroe. I have been looking all over the internet for an answer but I have yet to find anything. I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me out. THANKS!

Have you had the tires checked for a slipped belt or balance? Did you align the vechile after strut replacement?

The dampers are what is suppose to control the ‘bounce’. If you bounce the vehicle by pushing down on it and it moves up and down more than 3 times it’s likely the dampers that are the problem. You may be better off with OE parts as aftermarket suspension parts don’t always work out on some vehicle brands.
