I have an 09 Hyundai Santa Fe. When I worked at Hyundai one of the techs I worked with told me that the fuel pumps in the gas tank like to give up around 100k miles. It seemed like we had one Santa Fe in every two weeks for this issue.
Now my Santa Fe is acting weird. When I remove the fuel cap, and try to start the car it idles rough and dies. Then I have to crank it over several times before it will start. Often it will start, idle really low, then die.
Anyone have experience with this?
I don’t work for Hyundai anymore and before I write up an RO at work for diagnostics I want to have an idea just how bad my ass is going to bleed for parts.
