      Hi Guys

Over last few days i have been observing strange problem with car start-up after driving car for more than 10-15 km (essentially when car is hot)if i switch it off and turn it on ignation mode. radiator fan comes on for 3 minutes even if car is off. I understand this is how electric radiator fan works by design to cool down the engine.

However if i try to turn on the engine while fan is still on car refuses to crank. as if there is not enough power left to crank.

Once fan stops after 3 minutes car starts perfectly fine

I showed my car to a mechanic and he claims there is a problem with starter motor i really doubt if that is the case as if starter motor would have been bad the same problem would have occured on cold start as well

      please advice

Can you hear your starter making any sound at all? If there is too low amperage you can often hear the starter struggle. It wont crank, but still make a whirring or clicking sound, but no cranks.

If it is completely silent then maybe a bad relay?

Hyundai Atos? I used to work at their dealer and never heard of an Atos…

As for the malfunction in your vehicle, what additional info can you provide

I have 2 Hyundai’s and I am very pleased with both.

The Atos is an older micro car that isn’t available in the US to my knowledge.

Try putting jumper cables from the negative terminal on the battery to the engine block. Could be an earthing issue perhaps.
