Hi Guys,
My 2006 Fiat Doblo (European Mini-van)has a problem (as per usual). On wednesday, it snapped the pushrod on the clutch master cylinder as it’s made of plastic  which left me stuck 50 mile from home with no transport. One journey in a breakdown truck later, the vehicle is back at base and I collect the new master cylinder from my local parts store. I’ve replaced the master cylinder and bled as per instruction (un-clip the pipe into the slave cylinder and move it back slightly to unblock the bleed pipe fitting, then depress the clutch, etc etc etc…
The fluid comes through golden and without air, yet I have a situation where the car will not go into gear with the pedal depressed and the motor running.
Is it possible that the new part is faulty?
Could the slave cylinder have perished under the higher pressure of the new master cylinder? (found the old one had been leaking upon removal)
The hoses don’t visibly expand(or the short sections of flexi hose don’t)
there’s no hydraulic leaks that I can find.
IT is noteworthy though, that the pedal does have pressure, and when pressed, the slave cylinder does move it’s arm, too but whether it’s enough is in doubt.
This is my Work vehicle and I really am in need of getting it fixed so it is useable again.
Please help.
Phil
P.S; Equally, If i’m talking junk, please say so and I’ll try to elaborate and make sense for you.
Thanks
Phil
