        Also worth noting, mine was a 4×2 Jeep. According to the instructions if it is a 4×4 Patriot, Caliber, or Compass you have to remove the transfer case in order to get at the crank sensor. I suspect the Outlander and Lancer AWD models may have a similar problem.

        And it would probably significantly increase the amount of time it takes to replace it.
