This is a great video. It takes all the guesswork out of topping off your A/C system. Now all I need is a set of gauges. You said that the Harbor Freight Gauges are junk, right? I will avoid those.

yes can you please supply links to good products? I have seen so many out there that I am unsure which ones are trust worthy at this point. Also I read on there that two stage vacuums are more efficient at vacuuming a system than single stage and that they wont even take out air in the system. Is that true?

          Great video.

          What gauge set is that?
I have the Mastercool (89660-PRO5) R134a Manifold Gauge Set. It works fine, but does not have the screw top to depress the valves.
Also, using the Robinair 15310 VacuMaster 3 CFM Single Stage Pump which seems to work well.
If you need to crimp hoses, the Mastercool 71550 Air Conditioner Hose Crimper works good and is not too expensive.

This is the gauge that he gave a link to in this video.

During the video he is using a gauge from Pittsburgh Automotive, which is a Harbor Freight brand.

That is a link to the set that he is using in the video.

The HF gauges will work. They just may not work for long. I put a link in the description to a set you might want to check out.

It’s a HF set, but I linked another set in the description of the video. Thanks for the heads up on the crimper.

The crimper worked great. Had to make some custom lines when installing a vintage air unit. The ends are pretty affordable, I think $5 per end (any bend angle) and $15 for ends with the ports (again any bend angle.)
