I have recently replaced the O2 sensor and am trying to reset the check engine light but i’m not having any luck. Ive heard there might be a fuse to pull. then ive heard theres a way of doing it by turning the key in a certain sequence to make it reset. I would greatly appeciate any kind of feedback anyone might have. Thank you

Disconnect the negative battery cable for about 30-40 seconds. reconnect it and you should be good to go.

I have tried that and it is still on and i am positive that the o2 sensor was the reason for the light to begin with.

If you still have a code for the o2 sensor I would take a look at the wiring running from the sensor to the firewall to make sure there is no damage ( rub through , burns etc )

This^^^ Often time there is a reason that the codes are there and if you went to reset it and the light is still on, I would have the codes pulled again and check the wiring. That is exactly what was wrong with a buddy saturn.

If the code comes back after you pulled the battery cable there’s still a problem. If it’s the same code for the O2 then I would go back and check your work to make sure you got everything where it’s suppose to be and that it’s connected properly, it may not be a sensor problem but rather a connector or wiring problem OR a different code altogether.
