Cameraman Brian came to me one day after he got his new Toyota Rav4 complaining of rattles in his dash. Brian lives on a street with cobblestones so it was very prevalent. This is the kind of thing I did a lot at the dealer. It takes time and it can suck, but with a little effort you can usually nail them down.
I hope this info helps if you have similar issues with your vehicle.

Thanks for making this video, Eric. This might sound silly but I have some annoying rattles in my car and for some reason never even thought of trying to fix it myself!
Seems to me that the problem is right there at the badge where is says TOYOTA. European cars of the 1980s had better build quality that todays japanese cars. Really dispespectfull to their customers….
well bummer. I like watching eric suffer on Fridays doing real repairs, not this easy fix stuff! This video belongs on random Tuesdays.
Just kidding! but seriously..
This video got me reminiscing. “Back in the day” (God, I feel old when I say that) dashboards and trim were put together with exposed screws. If something rattled, (a rare thing back then), you just snugged up a few screws a bit tighter. Rattle went away.
Honestly, I’m not impressed with modern assembly techniques where pieces are snapped together like some cheap Kid’s Meal toy. It’s a case of “progress” and “change” not being synonymous.
