      Hello all

I have made a smoke machine that works very well!!! there is NO need to spend big money on one!!!! this will help to find exhaust leaks and vaccum leaks 🙂

the parts you will need are:

      METAL container ( NOT PLASTIC)

Air Flow Regulator with Gauge ( cost 5.99) here is the link

      http://www.harborfreight.com/125-psi-air-flow-regulator-with-gauge-68219.html

a glow plug here is the link : (if i recall cost is 9.00 plus tax)

      http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/_/N-5yc1s?itemIdentifier=231187

which is a ac delco 60G

i prefer metal fitting like brass ones you will need a T fitting and a elbows fiting, air fitting, etc

a desktop atx computer power supply 300 watt one works good!!

      baby oil

some hose i think my is 3/8 in dia if i recall right

a timer if you want to add that here is the link (if you want to add that cost is $15.00) :

      http://www.menards.com/main/electrical/safety-security/timers/15-minute-spring-wound-timer/p-1462748-c-6471.htm

a cooling fan from a computer power supply make sure its 12 volts it will say on the fan! (if you want to add that)

air compressor ( you dont need a big one even those 12 volt ones people uses to pump up car tires will work REMBER YOU ONLY NEED 1 psi!!! do NOT RUN more then 1 psi!!!!

the cost to build it just depends on what parts you have on hand and how fancy you want to make it

here are the videos to help you in building one ( sorry for the poor video only have ipad to work with 🙁 )

      here is part 1

sorry about the video being narrow dumb ipad ( i will re-shoot it at other time)

Thanks that works better. Nice work! I think I’ll build one too. I like the way you re-purposed many of the components.

thanks! when i re-do the first video ( cause of the narrow picture damn ipad) i will explain more things!

also on a side note i build alot of tools, etc so keep checking my youtube channel!

next video i will post is how to convert a small 3 gallon air compress into a silent one!! very easy and cheap to do!! 🙂 one of the reason why you might want a quiet air compresser is to run airbrush in the house 🙂 i was using that air compress for the air supply for the smoke machine that is why you guys didnt hear it run! 🙂
