        Thats quite interesting. If you think about, people get their fluids checked with doctor visits. Make sense to do the same for cars, really.

          Very interesting. That would definitely answer the question, “what happening in my engine?” and “what kind of condition is my engine in?”

          Seems worth it for $30. Might give them a try.

            This type of oil analysis does have its place in a high mileage setting. Another place where the oil analysis was used was when a tech made a mistake on an oil change. I mean a mistake like leaving the oil out and the CJ (car jockey) drove the car from the lot to the service drive) or something like a double gasket on the filter happened (resulting in a leaking car being delivered to the customer). In these cases we offered free oil changes for a period of time along with oil analysis to assure the customer that no internal engine damage was done). You sure can’t pay a guy doing oil changes much but they sure can cost the shop a lot.
