How often should i clean my impact?

I got my 1st job a couple of months ago so I bought some ttools and I want them to last. I bought a snap on MG725 impact gun. How ooften should I disassemble it and clean it? I want to get the most out of that impact. And what type of grease should I use? Pardon the silly question I just want to be able to care for my tools to make them last!

The only thing you should ever need to do is oil it. The Snap-On pneumatic oil is probably one of the better ones out there. I’m sure your guy will happily sell you a bottle.

Never tear it apart, just oil it, if you are anal about it once before you start the day and probably once in the middle of the day.

I usually oil mine 3 times a week.

I oil mine once right before I use it. After I oil it once i don’t oil it for the rest of the day unless I am using it constantly. I listen for the noise the air makes rushing through the gun when I am using it constantly you can actually hear the difference if you pay attention.
