How much is this civic worth?

So my friend has an 83 Civic 1500S with 66,000 miles and a beautifully running original engine. It’s all stock and has a flawless red body.

He wants to sell it but doesn’t know how much it’s worth. I can’t find any reliable references online but was thinking 3-5k. Any ideas?

Do you know what has been done to this car? for example, axle replacements, water pump replaced, new interior or anything added or fixed. List as much details as you can. the cost of the car depends if its been keep up on maintenance as if it rolled out the dealership. I would say this car is worth no more than 1800 to 2100… the miles are good for the car being a 83 but like that year states, price does go down for older models but those low miles gives it a boost. All this may not be correct, this is just my opinion.

I asked around other places. Some classic honda enthusiasts quoted about 4000.

The car has been properly maintained but has not needed major engine work. Its a collectable to some. Just a matter of finding those people.

i agree. Im really surprised how maintained this car is.. wont be surprised if there’s someone who will pay at least 3500 for the shape this car is in. should degrease the engine bay and make it look nice. best way to get people to buy the car. So, just keep looking for the right buyer.
