How Electric/Gas Hybrid cars work

This is a big topic. I’m curious how these cars are different than normal gas cars. Atkinson cycle engines, drive train, batteries, computers, software… Perhaps some1 can donate a wrecked one to ETCG & can dismantle it on video & explain how the damm thing works!

PS: My odometer worked on 360 mile roundtrip. Gas mileage was 34 mpg! sweet jeezus, O2 sensor bog me 10 extra MPG…thanks eric
