Start with the basics, do you have a temperature gauge in the dashboard showing you less than normal operating temperature. As much as these gauges aren’t the most precise devices in the world, they can still tell you that something is not quite the same. Any recent check engine light come on about the same time you noticed the loss of cabin heat? Pull codes if your light is on and look for P0128. It’s a thermostat code and replacing the thermostat pretty much always solves that code. You could disconnect the OE heater core hoses and attach some generic hoses and try flushing out the heater core with any nearby garden hose. Alternate the hose between the inlet and outlet and look for muck, mud, or crud being pushed out. Keep pushing water alternately between the outlets until it starts to run clear. If you think you’ve got an excess of contamination, you’ll want to find a chemical flush for the entire cooling system.

If the above suggestion doesn’t help, I would try this:

If the car has A/C. Turn the A/C onto max. Put your heater control to “HOT”.

Feel the air coming from the vents. If the air is cool and very dry? I’d put money on a screwy blend door.

Just an idea. Not even sure if that is a valid test, but it’s something to add to the mix.
