I had a torn R&P boot on my 2005 Chevy Venture van. Removal was easy. The hard part is getting the big end of the bellows around end of the R&P. I have spent over an hour trying to push the bellows over the lip on the R&P from under the van. Is is like trying to push a noodle. Is there any special trick or tool to use in order to get the boot over the lip? I double checked at the parts store to be sure that I have the correct boot.

I’ve never had that problem but what I’ve resorted to in similar situations is liquid dish washing detergent.

see if this helps. you could spray the boot with silicone.

Possibly use a hairdryer or heat gun to warm the boot up just enough to make it expand slightly?

I might try the dish soap or silicone spray. FYI, aftermarket parts (if that is what you’re using) can sometimes have issues like this.

Had to go buy an OEM part from GM dealer. The repair shop destroyed the boot from autozone trying to get it on. They could not get it to fit. Thanks

I suspected as much. Thanks for the update. Glad it worked out.
