Did you pull the dash back off to visually inspect the wiring there? Since you said that is when your troubles started you could have pinched some wires. Also consider that something could have been plugged in wrong spot or otherwise misplaced connected (one pin off/ backwards).

+1 on the dash. I would find yourself some wiring diagrams and start unplugging circuits where you suspect the short is.

When I’ve run into problems like yours in the past (aftermarket parts being wired into a system) 99% of the time it’s been how the component(s) were wired in. I often see that people splice into existing wires to power up other components like that, this is a mistake since I know for a fact in that car that there are ignition hot feeds in the fuse box that make it so that you don’t have to tie into the wiring of anything else to power up an aftermarket device like that. If you have spliced into other wiring to power up that meter I would recommend wiring it into the fuse box instead and see if the problem goes away.

I would disconnect the LC-1 unit and Heater plug to see how your car will run. If things goes fine connect your Heater plug back in and see how things run for a

while. Im no expert but it might help. Also maybe the two short cuircuits that you had may have done damage to sum other component a posibility like the IAT, when things

heat up like that it acts like a welder to other components…….. Im no expert but eric the car guy advice and others advise would be first preverance to mine.

Yes i pulled of dash over 5 times easy looking. I taped up my dash harness to avoid contact in most places, but i have gone threw it time over again and no bare broken wires? I mean there HAS to be somewhere.. Im going to invest in that tool that iss pretty neat lol!

And yes I am going to re wire to to the fuse box and see if that helps! Thanks ETCG forum! You guys are awsome! I will post up updates and if resolved let the forum know!

Off to get dirty in some wiring >=]
