We are having a problem with the horns on my dad’s 2000 Acura TL. They blow constantly. A few weeks ago, they started blowing in the middle of the night. The only thing he knew to do to stop it was disconnect one of the battery cables. Now when the cable is reconnected, they start blowing again. I looked at it yesterday and found that something is switching the horn relay on and off. The Haynes wiring diagrams I have are of little help but I did see that the relay is ground side switched and that the ground comes via the Passenger Multiplex Control Unit. I don’t have any information on that part of the circuit. The SRS light has also been on for a while but the horns just started blowing recently.. Could these problems be related? Thanks in advance for any assistance and/or direction you can give us.
