Honda Transmission overdrive problem

Hi there,

I have a 1998 Honda civic lx with 263,000 miles on it. Recently as I drive at highway speeds (65+), the transmission will randomly “pop” out of overdrive, or in this case, “lock up”. When I’m driving during this issue, it would pop out then lock up again and again at different random intervals. The transmission shifts in all four gears without a problem and doesn’t give any codes. The only fix i tried to do was clean the grounds and reset the computer. After that, it started working perfectly with no pop outs, until about 300 miles later. Im going to change the fluid soon when i have time to see if that helps any, but the fluid is still nice and pink. Most of my miles are highway miles.
