      Hi,

I have purchased a 1987 Honda prelude 2 door coupe SI 4WS with a BA4 engine DOHC, the vehicle has numerous oil leaks including valve cover gasket. timing cover gasket also distributor seal.
The question is do I purchase a gasket kit and change all seals and gaskets. Do I also change the timing belt and water pump at this stage.

It does make sense to change all the seals to fix all the
leaks. When the timing cover is off.Inspect the belt. If
worn or cracked. change the belt and water pump.

If you have oil INSIDE the distributor, this link might come in handy:

If you are going to go into the timing belt area and change all that it might be a good idea to pop in a new oil pump and seals. Your oil pump is driven by the timing belt and can be changed without dropping the oil pan. And the pump is known for leaking out of the front seal.

Just remember if you do change it out the nut holding the sprocket on is left handed (meaning you turn it to the right to loosen and to the left to tighten).
