Honda Odyssey Catalytic Converter Recommendation

Hi ETCG Forum experts-

I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey with 241,000 miles and a P0420 code. I have done the converter testing Eric outlined in his video–I checked live O2 sensor data and did temperature readings on the input and output of the cat. I have determined the cat is bad. I’ve read all over this forum that Hondas don’t like aftermarket cats. I am looking at the Walker 16457 Ultra Direct Fit Catalytic Converter. I am having a hard time justifying spending $700 on the OEM cat considering the age and mileage.

What are your thoughts?

When it comes to catalytic converters you defiantly get what you pay for. I am not a fan of walker products. They have fitment issues and have had countless comebacks due to the check engine light back on with the dreaded P0420 code right back within a couple of months.
